If you’re the guy in charge of making office hardware purchase decisions, you automatically organize products from highest to lowest quality. Brand new servers and peripherals go at the top of the list, and then used or refurbished stuff goes near the bottom. Then you pick the highest quality option within your budget.

And while we’re sure you rarely make mistakes, there may be a factor or two you’re leaving out that could improve the quality of product you buy.

Silent Auction to Help Others

CablesAndKits has always had a heart for giving to others. Serving others is at the core of our being, as we positively impact others. We act with an “I’m for you” mentality and perpetually seek ways to assist others.

As we prepare to upgrade our technology internally, a silent auction was held in efforts to raise money to bless Rainbow Village, a local non-profit organization. All of our employees were given the opportunity to place their bid on technology that was being phased out and 100% of the profits were donated.

Serve Others: Navigate Recovery Gwinnett 5K

Navigate Recovery is Gwinnett’s only recovery community organization dedicated to changing the way addiction is treated in Gwinnett County, Georgia. This organization acts as a clearinghouse for services and opens the lines of communication to provide better outcomes for addiction sufferers and their families.

At CablesAndKits, one of our core values is to Serve Others and what better way to do that than to support an organization like Navigate Recovery Gwinnett. This past weekend, CablesAndKits supported Navigate Recovery Gwinnett in taking part in their 5K Run/Walk. This event was created to support and celebrate those who are on the road to rehabilitation and to show others recovery is possible!

Experts in Awesome: 20,000 Likes on Facebook

We’ve officially become “Experts in Awesome” on Facebook! CablesAndKits recently reached an awesome milestone of 20,000 likes on our Facebook Page!

Last August, we gave away a CablesAndKits prize every day for 10 days, in celebration of achieving 10,000 fans. Today we have another opportunity to celebrate you due to reaching 10,000 more fans in just eight months!

To honor the people like you who have made this possible, we have a great giveaway coming down the pike!

Service Project: Rainbow Village

If you know anything about CablesAndKits or have been around us for any amount of time, you know that service is at the heart of who we are – whether that is serving our customers, our community, or each other. The concept of serving means so much to us that we stated it as one of our core values:

This past month, CablesAndKits hosted the 2^nd Annual Family Fun Day supporting Rainbow Village, a transitional housing community for homeless families with children. This organization is doing an incredible job of serving families by providing long-term solutions and support, and we loved having the opportunity to serve them as well. Parents and kids of all ages came out to enjoy the fun as CablesAndKits employees and families hosted various activities, games and contests.
