Two weeks ago today was a VERY special day for us in the CK family! Our Founders, Craig and Christin, celebrated the birth of their little baby girl, Caroline! This week we are able to publicly celebrate with them! Little Caroline came into the world 7 weeks early (born at 33 weeks, 2 days), weighing in at 2lbs, 15oz and 14 3/4 in. Baby, mom and dad are doing wonderful and adjusting to their new life adventure very well! We join with Craig and Christin in praising God for this miracle and look forward to watching her grow up around the craziness of the CK office! (We know, the pictures are so cute, right?)
This week we said goodbye to Leslie, one of our expert Broker reps. A few of us around the office honored her with a “Runaway .5k Race” (Yes, a .5k!) and a homemade, potluck barbecue lunch. Leslie is an avid runner so we thought it would be a fitting way to say goodbye to her and wish her luck on her new adventure. It was a day filled with fun, laughter, and sadness. We know she will do great at her new job and will fondly remember her time with us here at CK. Hopefully her new office mates won’t think she is too crazy when she starts decorating her desk with all of the CK paraphernalia . Good luck, Leslie! We will miss you!
For an added surprise, Ralph, the Dinosaur, joined in the race or inspired the race – we are not sure which one. But, he did have lunch as well. (His lunch = Carlos)
Several of the CK team members gathered “summer” camp supplies and donations for the kids at Rainbow Village. This organization is a transitional housing community for homeless families with children. Most of the heads of household at Rainbow Village are women who have fled lives of domestic violence and poverty. This Saturday, the CK team will be joining with Rainbow Village at a festival for the kids and families where we will have activities like face painting, cookie decorating, games, and many other enjoyable activities for the kids. You can check out the organization and learn more how to help at their Facebook page.
Random Pic of the Week!
Another fond picture from our photographer, Cris. We are not sure whether or not the Giraffe was serenading Cris with a song or was in shock. We will let you decide.
